1. Customer and visit records
Customer names, service addresses, visit notes, readings, photos, and receipt details you enter into AquaReceipt are stored in your browser or device storage. AquaReceipt does not upload or keep a central copy of those records.
If you choose to export or share a receipt, your device sends the selected information to the destination or service you choose. That destination's privacy practices then apply.
2. Keep receipts appropriately limited
Receipts are meant for ordinary service details. Do not put sensitive personal or security information in a receipt, including passwords, payment-card data, Social Security or tax-identification numbers, medical information, alarm codes, or property access credentials.
3. Waitlist and payment information
If you join the AquaReceipt waitlist, the website stores the email address you submit so we can send product access or launch updates. Waitlist signup is optional and is separate from the device-local receipt records.
We keep a waitlist address until you unsubscribe, ask us to remove it, or the list is retired.
You can remove an address at any time on the launch-list removal page.
When you purchase a license, Stripe processes your email, card, billing, and payment information under Stripe's own privacy terms. AquaReceipt does not receive or store your full card number or security code. We store only the Stripe transaction identifiers, amounts, currency, payment or refund status, timestamps, and license status needed to activate the product and maintain the owner's financial ledger.
A signed activation key is stored in your browser when you activate a lifetime license. You can remove it by clearing AquaReceipt's browser storage.
4. Limited product events and site logs
We may count limited product events in aggregate, such as page views, resource-link clicks, checkout starts, or completed waitlist signups. An event may include a coarse, allowlisted source, medium, campaign code, and public page path so the owner can see which AquaReceipt resources lead to product use or verified sales.
First-touch source information is kept only for the current browser tab session. AquaReceipt does not create a cross-site advertising identifier, fingerprint a visitor, or store full referrer URLs, search terms, advertising click IDs, or unknown campaign text. We do not use these counts to collect the contents of customer records, visit notes, readings, photos, or receipts.
Website infrastructure may also temporarily process standard request information such as an IP address, browser type, and timestamp to deliver and secure the site.
5. We do not sell your data
AquaReceipt does not sell customer records, receipt contents, waitlist email addresses, or personal information. We may use service providers only as needed to host the public site, process Stripe payments, operate the waitlist, measure aggregate product activity, and protect the service.
6. Your choices and data deletion
- Delete device-local records from within the app when that control is available, or clear AquaReceipt's site data in your browser settings.
- Protect important records by exporting a backup before clearing browser or device storage.
- Remove a waitlist email on the AquaReceipt launch-list removal page.
7. Security and retention
Keeping operational records on your device reduces centralized collection, but no device or transmission method is perfectly secure. You are responsible for securing your device, choosing appropriate receipt recipients, and keeping any backups you need. Local records remain until you delete them or browser storage is cleared. Stripe and other payment records may be retained for accounting, fraud prevention, tax, dispute, and legal obligations.
8. Updates
We may update this policy as AquaReceipt changes. The revised date will appear at the top of this page. Purchase support and refund contact details are provided by the seller at Stripe checkout and on the Stripe receipt.
